There's less than a day to the National League Championship, best of 7, between the fightin' Phils and the LA Dodgers. And oh boy, is this going to be good. The first two games will be played on Philly's home turf - Citizen's Bank Park.
I think the Phils stand a great chance against the Dodgers. They must make the best out of every opportunity that comes their way. Stay away from loading up the bases with no outs in the ninth, then hit a double play ball, as was the case in game 3 against the Brewers. If the Phils keep the bats swinging and keep driving in the runs, they will out score the dodgers and ultimately win games against them.
Everyone seems to be talking about Manny and his presence on the Dodgers. I believe the Phils can outsmart him.
The Phils pitching needs to be in amazing form as does their offense. Joe Blantant exuded confidence, and was calm, cool, and collected in the fourth game and final game with the Brewers. This is what needs to happen with the entire starting pitching staff.
Cole Hamels should be starting things off in Thursdays game. He can be amazing. He can shut things down with other teams.
