Fightin Phillies

Here it is, my first report on the Philadelphia Phlllies:
They are hot, hot, hot! The Phillies beat the Marlins 12-3 in the first game of the three game series. I predict they will win the series, 2 out of three games, or better, a sweep like they did the Colorado Rockies.
The batting is phememonal right now. Honestly, I missed the first half of the game, but I understand there were some awesome homeruns. My boy Chase Utley pulled one off himself. I did see Ryan Howard his three run homer.
The Phillies got a day off Thursday which is exactly what they needed coming into this critical series with the Marlins. Brett Myers gets the win under his belt which is exactly what he needed. Offensively, these guys need to keep things going they way they have been with 6 wins out of their past 8 games.
I like to see the homers, but I like to see them getting on base by other means too, and right now it seems to all be coming together. Shane Victorino has some speed behind him. He and Jimmy Rollins have been successful in stealing bases lately.
These guys are tough and they keep fighting, coming from behind and taking wins.
I think they stand a chance to definitely make the play-offs this year, and go beyond.
Let me know what you think.
