Nick Nolte's fire
October 8th 2008 15:20
I heard on a morning talk show today that actor Nick Nolte had a fire in his home yesterday. There are various reports of the amount of dollar damage, but the lowest I saw was 1.5 million at his ??? million dollar home; it's obvious were talking multi here.
Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt. I'm sure that it was quite frightening and even traumatic as it is for anyone that is victim to such an event. It was less than two weeks ago when I experienced being a witness to my next door neighbor's house being rescued by firefighters as black smoke billowed out of several windows.
So, for the most part, it sounds as if the fire was contained in the living room of his mansion. Nolte believes that it was attributed to a printer malfunction and he plans to sue the printer company. Why is it that celebs are always so quick to jump on the sue wagon? They set such a great role for the rest of us (I say with sarcasm). My neighbor's fire, in middle class America, was believed to be started by a printer too, and the sue word was the farthest thing from their mind. They just wanted forensics to conduct an investigation and if indeed it was the printer, make a recall so it doesn't happen again.
Hey Nick! First it has to be confirmed that it was the printer. Next, why don't you just collect the insurance money and fix that mansion back up. I'm sure in the meantime you'll be able to find a cushy place to stay. Thank your lucky stars that you're okay and put your worry into stopping it from happening to someone else, instead of thinking about making big money over this.
And in the future let the firefighters be the true heros - I don't think a little garden hose is going to put out giant flames.
