NL East
September 20th 2010 19:10
The Braves and Phillies face each other six more times in the 2010 season. Three of them games start tonight in Philly. With the final three being the final series of the year.
Philadelphia gets at at the right times. They have won seven straight to take a three game lead over the Braves. Atlanta on the other hand has won their last 3 to stay only 3 back. Even though the Braves have lost 64 total games this year it just seems like they never lose.
A big part of the Phils hot streak goes in part to the three headed machine. Hamels, Halladay, and Oswalt. 16 and 6 they are since Roy came to them from Houston.
So, my question is will Philadelphia hold on or will Atlanta stab the Phils in the chest and kill there NL East Champion dream?
For all you gamblers out there like me bet on the Phillies to hang on and win. Why you might ask, thats because Phillies are the better team. Hamels has been the dominate starter this year for Philly minus run support. Now he is getting run support and Contreras is coming around in the bullpen.
Atlanta has guys that can get to them though in Prado and Infante. You can't forget about Lee who won the game on Sunday for them with a grand slam.
I like Atlanta andd want to see them win for Bobby Cox but Philadelphia will have more to cheer about come October.
