There is little question who is gonna win the NL Pennant and go on to the World Series. Philidelphia Phillies. They brought back Cliff Lee to basicly cement their place as NL Champions. Lets take a look at 5 teams that could take out the Phils.
San Francisco Giants: A team,like the Phillies, are carried by pitching. Many people may disagree but the bats only came alive in 2010 once the pitching got them where they needed to be. Good pitching beats good hitting anyday of the week, so expect alot of 1-0 wins and loses for the G men this year.
Atlanta Braves: Will the Braves make the playoffs again in 2011? No doubt. Atlanta added Dan Uggla who brings the much needed power to the lineup. Martin Prado and Chipper Jones will be healthy for a playoff push, hopefully. The bullpen has the tools to be as good as any team around. Atlanta also has the minor league talent to trade for a bigger bat or a stronger arm if needed.
Cincinnati Reds: 2010 was the first time in 15 years the Reds made it to the postseason. The pitching was a big key to the run last year and will be in 2011 as well. Cincinnati will look to get to the playoffs for 2 straight years. Can they make it, but more importantly can they take home th NL Pennant.
Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers have found their core guys. Guys of which came from their farm system in 2006. All 5 of the core guys have been to the postseason with L.A. 3 times and haven't got past round 2. Getting past that round in 2011 they will need power and timely hitting, somethng they were not known for in 2010. Dodgers need Kemp and Ethier to step up if they want the 2011 NL Pennant.
Florida Marlins: A turnaround is very possible this season for Florida. A new stadium is being worked on for the Marlins but not till next season will they play in it. The team has finished last in attendence the last six years. NL Pennent may be a push but never count out the fish.
Best Bets To Win NL Pennant:
San Francisco Giants= 7.5 to 1
St. Louis Cardinals = 8 to 1
Colorado Rockies = 12 to 1
