Phillies vs. Marlins, game 3
June 2nd 2008 15:14
Hello readers:
This was a fantastic win for the Philly's and for pitcher Jamie Moyer, one of the oldest, if not the oldest player in MLB right now. It was also another come-back-from-behind victory for the fightin Phills.
I must admit it was a rather bold prediction to say they would take this series 2-1, but they pulled through. They did it! When I tuned in to the game, it was 5-3, with the Marlins in the lead. Then Jenkins hits a two run homer, making it 5-5.
It was Pat "the bat" Burrell with a power hit that gave him 2 RBI's and Phillies the final winning score 7-5. Nice job Pat! I never thought I would hear him being called Pat "the bat", but this year he is deserving of that title; his hitting has been absolutely amazing.
The Philly's bullpen is not too shabby either, as Gordon and Lidge kept the Marlins at 5 runs.
Today, the Phillies will take on the Reds to start the 4 game series.
My final three words for the Phillies: WIN! FIGHT! WIN!
