The Philadelphia Phillies reclaim the first place slot for the National East as they win against the Washington Nationals for the second time in this series.
Currently, this appears to be a close race between three teams: Phillies, Mets, and Marlins. It was the Marlins win over the Mets, and the Phillies win yesterday over the Nats that put the red hats in the lead, again. It looks like this could be another end-of-season anxiety builder for baseball fans of those three teams with the Marlins not far behind the other two teams.
As for the Phillies, they play tonight to rap up the three game series against the Nationals and are looking for that sweep. The Phils have 4 wins in a row, and one more would be a great boost before entering the St. Louis series that starts on Friday.
