So the Phillies didn't win Sunday against the Cardinals, and lost the series. That's alright. They still remain in the lead. They just won 8-2 tonight against the Boston Red Sox.
Cole Hamels pitched another great game, and the Phillies were belting in the runs. Jimmy Rollins started things off for the Philadelphia Phillies in the first inning when he slammed in a single run homerun. Ryan Howard had another 4 RBI game with a two run homerun in the first inning as well. Shane Victorino deserves credit for hitting a line drive grounder in the outfield too. Cole Hamels was successful in bunting bringing runners to second and third. Pat Burrell hit a trilple which was the first for him since 2006. I wasn't seeing much out of Utley at bat. He appears to be in a bit of a slump, and now is a good time to pull out of that.
The team looked good. These guys are batting and hopefully things in this series will go their way. Jamie Moyer will be pitching tomorrow night's game. He's been doing well lately so it should be another good game. The third game is an afternoon game.
